You may have already noticed that telnet is missing from Windows 7. Well it's actually still there but for some reason Microsoft decided to disable it by default. However, with these simple steps you can get it back in just a few clicks.
Click "Start"
Click on "Control Panel”
Click on "Programs and Features"
Click on "Turn Windows features on or off"
Scroll down
Click on "Telnet Client" in "Windows Features"
Open a command prompt, type telnet and the address and you’re on your way!
