Windows 7 built-in screenshot utility



If you don't like having to press the "PrtSc" (Print Screen) key and pasting into paint to make screen captures there is a built-in alternative for those of us using Windows 7. It's called the Snipping Tool but it isn't exactly easy to find if you've never heard about it. The screenshots below will get you started:

2. The Snipping Tool window will now be displayed and you will be able to select the region of the screen you wish to capture.
